SANGER, Texas - May 7, 2024 - PRLog -- The City of Sanger Public Works Department took a proactive step toward shaping the future workforce by visiting the Linda Tutt Learning Center. The aim was to introduce students to some of the technical career opportunities available within the City, igniting their interest and providing valuable insights into potential career paths.
Led by John Henderson, a seasoned supervisor within the City's Public Works Department, the event engaged students ranging from elementary school to those preparing for graduation and embarking on their next life phase. Attendees were treated to an informative session highlighting the diverse responsibilities of the Public Works Department, spanning from essential street maintenance to critical water line repairs and even collaboration with Emergency Services during times of crisis.
The Linda Tutt Learning Center, an esteemed alternative school within the Sanger Independent School District (SISD), provides a nurturing academic environment focused on supporting students in achieving their high school diplomas. Catering especially to those facing unique challenges, the Center offers a compassionate setting coupled with rigorous academic standards, ensuring students receive the necessary tools for success.
Principal Anthony Love emphasized the Center's commitment to fostering academic excellence while providing a flexible learning framework to accommodate diverse student needs.
