BRONX, N.Y. - April 26, 2024 - PRLog -- Lehman Center for the Performing Arts is proud to present two legendary vocalists for the first time on the same stage, ÁNGELA CARRASCO & FAUSTO REY on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 8pm. Performing several romantic hits,  "Quererte a ti", "Now or Never," and "Quiereme" for a night of celebration of Dominican pride!

Lehman Center for the Performing Arts is on the campus of Lehman College/CUNY at 250 Bedford Park Boulevard West, Bronx, NY 10468. Tickets for ÁNGELA CARRASCO & FAUSTO REY on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 8pm ($100, $75, $65, $50, $35) can be purchased by calling the Lehman Center box office at 718-960-8833 (Monday through Friday, 10am–5pm, and beginning at 4pm on the day of the concert), or through online access at https://www.lehmancenter.org/events/angela-y-fausto Lehman Center is accessible by #4 or D train to Bedford Park Blvd. and is off the Saw Mill River Parkway and the Major Deegan Expressway.

ÁNGELA CARRASCO is a Dominican vocalist, actress, and international star. Ángela Carrasco began her career as one of a group of Latin American female vocal icons in the 1970s that included Susana Gimenez, Charytin, Iris Chacon, and Ednita Nazario. She played Mary Magdalen together with Camilo Sesto in the first Spanish version of Jesus Christ Superstar in the mid-1970s, recording "No se como amarle" and "No, no hay nadie mas", which quickly became massive hits. She went on to create "Cariño Mio" and "Quererte a Ti", which became some of her most popular songs, giving her global success across Latin America, the United States, and Europe. In 1985 she released the album, 'Dama del Caribe', and in 1988 the album 'Boca Rosa'. In 1993, Carrasco earned the Lo Nuestro Award for Tropical Female Artist of the Year. In 2015 Ángela Carrasco was honored with the Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2023 she re-released her hit albums, Unidos (Remastered), Con Amor (Remastered), and Dama Del Caribe (Remastered). In March 2024, she received the main award given to popular and classical artists in Latin America, The Premios Soberano top prize.
