While working as a children’s social worker for Los Angeles County Viviana tried out for LATV’s Be a VJ contest in 2001. Although she didn’t win the contest, producers asked her to work on the show anyway.  Viviana hosted “LATV Live”, Los Angeles’s only live music video show, from 2003 until 2005. “LATV Live” provided Viviana the opportunity to interview various Latin artists during the live show and interacted with the live in-studio audience. This incredible experience allotted Viviana the perfect forum to showcase her natural ability to capture the attention of both the viewers at home and the in studio audience with her entertaining, intelligent and quick witted personality. Viviana has also hosted various shows through KJLA including “Instant Request” a Live video request show where viewers would call into the show live or chat online to request videos and interact with both her and her co-hosts. The show was enormously popular pulling in over 3 million viewers on some occasions. Recently Viviana appeared in the film “The Oakley 7”, a new horror film set to release this March.  Currently Viviana is the host for the popular “Drive-Thru” show on LATV. The show’s target audience is 13-25 year olds who utilize email and Myspace to request their favorite videos. In addition to “Drive Thru” Viviana also hosts the Best of LATV and “LATV Does Hollywood” covering movie premiers and press junkets and “LATV en Concierto” which features performances and interviews from established and up and coming latino artists. Viviana has recently started writing and producing her own segment titled “Tu Voz”. “Tu Voz” is a politically themed segment aired on LATV’s “Rockamole” and soon to be featured on the new “LATV LIVE”. “Tu Voz” captures the voice of the Latin community focusing on important community issues in the Los Angeles area such as the May Day March and the plight of the South Central Farmers.
