BladeS New Cast 2007-08

Blade Systems Alliance's newly elected cast includes some very seasoned industry veterans who together will be a key force in accelerating the promotion of the technology and market.

Sept. 21, 2007 - PRLog -- Colleyvill, TX  - Blade Systems Alliance (BladeS) today announces its new cast of officers and chairs for the upcoming fiscal year.  Representing a wealth of industry experience and knowledge, the new cast members include:

Jim Hall, President (2nd term), Marketing Development Manager, Emerson Network Power/Liebert

Alistair Pim, Vice-President, VP Global Strategic Accounts, American Power Conversion Corp.

Rob Peglar, Secretary and Treasurer, VP of Technology, Xiotech

Chris Hipp, Technology Committee Chair, Father of Blade and Serial Entrepreneur

Nelson Stewart, Marketing Committee Chair, Embedded Switch Product Manager, Brocade

Dennis Carlson, Interoperability Committee Chair, Senior OEM Manager, EMC

"Since BladeS' partnership with PPM Media a year ago, the organization's accomplishments include developments of various strategic relationships, one of which is the Association of IT Professionals (AITP) - the representative IT end user community, and the launch of the industry's first invitational summit - BladeSystems Insight,” said Jim Hall, the organization's president.  

"Our newly elected cast includes some very seasoned industry veterans who with the support of a solidly grounded Advisory Board that includes Philip McKay, the President and CEO of PPM Media, Kenneth McCardle, VP of IT for Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance and an executive of AITP, and Chris Hipp who originated this whole concept of Blade Computing, will be a key force in accelerating the promotion of the technology and market." Jim continued.

The organization expects to formalize its key initiatives for the new fiscal year at its next Board of Directors call in October.  These initiatives will include finalizing the setup of an Interoperability Center in southern California, as well as further details on the global coverage of BladeSystems Insight 2008.
