Nov. 21, 2008 - PRLog -- Jorge Amaro, chief executive officer of the firm and a veteranbio-pharmaceutical technology engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the life-sciences industry, said his company is a natural fit within the BioOrlando strategic initiative.

"Our insight into biotechnology company processes, current and relevant industry product and service offerings and strategic proximity to the University of Central Florida's Medical College, Burnham's Research Facility at Lake Nona and the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission, uniquely positions Amaro & Associates to inject global experience into an already stellar team," said Amaro.

John Fremstad, Vice President, Technology Industry Development, Metro Orlando EDC and BioOrlando's council executive said "BioOrlando has enthusiastically welcomed Amaro and Associates and is excited about the wealth of applicable industry experience Amaro and his staff bring to the table."

BioOrlando's vision is "to build Central Florida's prominence as a preferred destination for healthcare, life science, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, as well as their supporting industries" (www.bioorlando.com, 2008).

Amaro and Associates is a client of the University of Central Florida Technology Incubator, part of the UCF Incubation Program.
