The idea is the brainchild of Janeen Mansour, who will be the master of ceremonies at the event open to the public. President George W. Bush and the First Lady Laura Bush have both been officially invited to throw the first pair of shoes. Fifth District Los Angeles Councilman Jack Weiss has also been invited to participate.
