The site is host to leading technology, education and MSU affiliated organizations. The choice of a high-tech location for the gathering is seen as a conscious decision to highlight Lansing’s booming technology sector. On having Bernero speak from Spartan Internet’s new premises, Vartoogian said, "We are honored that Mayor Bernero is addressing the city from our new office space. Situated in the former Holmes Street School in Lansing, ITEC focuses on imparting technological skills to children and adults by conducting activities related to the fields of science, mathematics and engineering.
