Melissa Otero CD Release Party at Mundo Café in Astoria, Queens

Jan. 22, 2009 - PRLog -- The exotic Mundo Café will be host to the popular singer and songwriter Melissa Otero to celebrate the official release of her debut album “My Spirit”. The intimate venue is one of the hottest spots in Astoria, known for it’s exotic cuisine that range from a hot, sweet wine imported from Germany to their famous appetizer “Red Sonja”. The gathering starts at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 28th. Industry professionals will attend by special invitation with complementary horderves, wine and sangria while fans are welcome to attend for a meet and greet.

About Melissa: Puerto Rican singer and songwriter Melissa Otero has made waves in the music scene with her captivating lyrics and haunting voice. Since the age of 5, Melissa has been working towards her career as a professional recording artist studying everything from Bach, Mozart and Beethoven to the likes of contemporary artists such as Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan and Elton John. Her song “My First Everything” was officially released in the summer of 2006 as an EP and went on to become #1 on Hot97.net (Portland, OR) for two consecutive weeks.
