Jan. 26, 2009 - PRLog -- Among the many people pardoned by George Bush in his last days of office include a little known Canadian Lounge Singer. The White House has confirmed that Bush has given a full pardon to Tommy Carson, known as the "Singer with the Zinger" and "Canada's Number One Johnny Carson Impersonator", exonerating him of all past convictions and current charges. "I was shocked when I received the registered letter with the Pardon." says Carson. "I guess Bush really is a man of the people." Back in November, Carson sent Bush a package that included a two page letter requesting the pardon along with an autographed CD. Carson does the majority of his shows in Nevada and was recently denied entry to the U.S. at the Peace Arch Border in Blaine Washington. "If I didn't get this pardon I would have had to get a real job. Now I can go back to do what I do best - entertaining drunks."

Carson says his past transgressions with the law are the result of his struggles with Alcoholism. "I am now in AA or as we say in Canada EhEh, so my problems are in the past. I admit I was a bad boy but I am doing my best to reform my ways." Carson is also involved in many charity campaigns for the homeless which may have influenced Bush. On Christmas Eve, Carson's organizes the popular "Drunkfess for the Homeless" a party for the homeless in his hometown of Victoria, British Columbia and is currently organizing the "Stagger for Sobriety" which is aimed to benefit homeless alcoholics.

Carson's previous convictions include numerous alcohol related offences for assault and was currently facing felony charges for stealing a car in Riverside, California.

To celebrate the pardon, Carson will be putting on a George Bush Presidential De-Inauguration Show when he returns to in Laughlin, Nevada in March. "I will be writing George another letter thanking him for the pardon and inviting him to the show. I will even throw in a couple of drink coupons for him."
