March 18, 2009 - PRLog -- Dead Pixel Live, the flagship podcast of the All Game Radio network(http://www.allgames.com) today announced the implementation of the DPL Community Seal of Approval for downloadable interactive content. Initially, the DPLCSA will focus on Xbox Live Community Games and will later expand to other platforms where independantly produced games are prevalent. The Seal of Approval is awarded by the DPL Community to games that have been deemed worthy to download.

"This seal was created to help consumers distinguish between real games and those that may not be up to the level of quality that is expected by todays gamers. We see this seal akin to the UL seal found on products. It doesn't state how good a product is, but it does help guarantee that you won't be wasting your time downloading something other than a real game. " said Derrick Hopkins, host of the Dead Pixel Live radio program.

As of today, there is no method of rating games found in the Community Games section of the Xbox Live Marketplace. By displaying this seal, a game will be able to stand out in the multitude of offerings that many gamers have been wary to download because of previous bad experiences. There have already been nine titles nominated for the DPLCSA and the announcement of the first recipients is expected shortly.

Information on how a game may be nominated for the DPL Community Seal of Approval is available at the Dead Pixel Live website, www.deadpixellive.com. If a game is approved, the author is notified and allowed to display the DPLCSA on the box art and promotional materials.
