Tough Economic Times Call For a New Fundraising Approach

March 27, 2009 - PRLog -- In a recent poll, fundraising associations and organizations see one of their top challenges as, "Donors seem to be tired of the same products and services being offered to them." In addition, the seventh annual GuideStar Nonprofit Economic Survey released on October 29, 2008 revealed significant challenges for charities. It showed:

•   The proportion of charity representatives reporting decreased contributions nearly doubled between 2007 and 2008
•   Almost half of participants from nonprofits that rely on end-of-year gifts expect donations to decline during the last quarter of 2008 compared to the last quarter of 2007
