A JOURNEY. COMMUNICATION AS A PURE, INSTINCTUAL PEOPLE-PROJECT.WHAT THE VISITOR WILL RECEIVE, HAVE AND DO IS REDUCED TO A MINIMUM DEGREE. A MINIMAL, CONCENTRATED INTERVENTION. ONE SIMPLE, INTIMATE ACTION. FEATHERS TO FREE THE FLESH. ANGERS. WISHES. DESIRES. DESPAIR. HOPES. DREAMS. Day 1 A video installation shapes the space, tracing fragments of a path - the way back of the being inside its own body. The organs are the source of emotions and sensations that act and modify communication and expression, while at the same time they tell of the refusal of the banal, conventional and ordinary things around us. Inside this space the action takes place. The visitors are free to move, come and go as they like. There is no fixed, pre-determined scheme. Between echoes of voices whispering fears and constrictions, a woman sitting at a table plays with feathers, different elements and water. She unveils the back of a man to make a sort of “tabula rasa” out of it- a white page where to deliver a thought. Inside an intimacy – through a repetitive gesture – the single visitor is free to communicate to the next something that belongs just to himself. The act is replied simply and purely - apparently it is always the same. But it is what is written that always changes. A constructive chain of words and images originates - a communicative people-project made by the visitors that follow the rules of a ritual, which offers an absolute freedom of expression – instinctual and not invasive – to all the participants. Day 2 The two performers take place again exactly where the action was held the day before. There, on the ground, they start to make a colored sand diagram that contains all the words, signs and images produced previously by the people. Then, when their work will come to its end, the sand diagram will be blown away, under the incidental music of the third performer. All is impermanente. The Fondaco dell'Arte is a historical Venetian building founded between the sixteenth and the seventeenth century. Located in San Marco 3415 (Calle dei Garzoni) close to Palazzo Grassi, in front of the San Tomà boat station, also offers the possibility of using Venice, internationally recognised for its historic and cultural heritage, as a display for promoting artistic events at an international level. Arte Communication is a company specialised in the concept, organisation, and realisation of exhibitions and cultural events. Since 1984 it has been organising exhibitions and cultural events in Italy and abroad, providing a wide range of services necessary for the organisation and realisation of art exhibitions. Through its experience Arte Communications has developed consolidated relationships with major institutions, museums, foundations, galleries, thus facilitating contacts at an international level.
