April 21, 2009 - PRLog -- Geek IT Stores, has initiated India`s First Genuine IMEI portal, supporting the Indian Govt. & DOT ban on illegal china mobiles. As per April 30th, all illegal smuggled china phones will be rendered useless ,as they will lose network connectivity.

Currently over 8% of mobile subscribers are using china mobiles. Telecom service providers like Airtel, Vodafone, BSNL have started deactivating fake IMEI handsets.
