Follow on Google News | New York Author of The Price of Silence, Camilla Trinchieri, to Publish Next Book in ItalyNew York author Camilla Trinchieri will be publishing her next book, Finding Alice, in Italian with publisher Marcos Y Marcos. Finding Alice is inspired by Trinchieri's mother's life as an American in Europe during World War II.
By: ClearSight Publicity The Price of Silence was published by Soho Press in hardback, and went to paperback in 2007. The Italian publisher, MarcosyMarcos, bought the rights to the book, and had it translated by expert translator, Erika Bianchi of Florence, Italy. Il prezzo del silenzio was published in June 2008 to much acclaim. Trinchieri and Bianchi gave talks and interviews to newspapers, magazines, radio and TV, both in 2008 and this year. They've been to Rome, Florence and Palermo Italy. Trinchieri's work will be translated by Erika Bianchi, again. Says Bianchi, "I love this book and translating will be challenging and exhilarating." Trinchieri herself is half-Italian, as her father was a native Italian. She grew up traveling throughout Europe and in the US with her diplomat father. She completed university at Barnard College and returned to Rome to work, where she devoted herself to dubbing movies, a role which kept her in the company of movie greats like Fellini, Visconti and Wertmuller. Since then Trinchieri moved to New York City, where she became an American citizen, married and began her writing career in earnest after finishing a master's degree in writing at Columbia University. Her first books, The Trouble With series, were light-hearted, fun mysteries in different settings with the Italian American sleuth, Simona Griffo. With The Price of Silence, a compelling psychological thriller, Trinchieri has shown that she is a literary author. As one reviewer wrote, "It's in the telling that the artistry shines." Trinchieri has a Web site at www.camillatrinchieri.com which lists many of her reviews. She also has a blog at www.camillatrinchieri.blogspot.com. # # # ClearSight Publicity is a North Carolina based internet publicity consultancy offering research, writing, blogging, publicity campaigns, brand and reputation monitoring and other social media services.
