Follow on Google News | Artwork by World Famous Beatle Artist Shannon to be Prelude to Rain ConcertsFor the first time in the history of NJPAC, a musical Prelude will not be performed prior to a concert, but instead, the artwork of Shannon – The World’s Greatest Beatles Artist will be showcased.
By: MoonGlow PR In 2005, Shannon received a call from Bill Heckle, owner of the world famous Cavern Club in Liverpool, asking her to provide artwork for the historic Hard Days Night Hotel project. He felt that she was “the only artist in the world for the job.” Shannon was soon commissioned to create more than 110 pieces of original artwork for the Hard Days Night Hotel, which opened its doors in February 2008. Shannon said of the project, “I’ve been a Beatles fan for as long as I can remember and I was completely overwhelmed when I was invited to work on this project.” Only a true Beatles Fan with talent such as hers could have pulled off the task of creating over 110 original piece of art in under 2 years. These pieces will be debuted for the first time on U.S. soil at a private VIP reception on Thursday, June 11th. A special guest celebrity will ceremonially unveil each piece. Shannon’s artwork is strikingly lifelike and has frequently been mistaken for photographs. She has the uncanny ability to capture the distinct energy and spirit of her subject. Shannon's creations have appeared on numerous shows such as: The Tonight Show, David Letterman, Regis and Kathy Lee, Good Morning America, Oprah and Entertainment Tonight. She has also received the “thumbs up” from the Spielbergs, The Stallones, Billy Bob Thornton, Armande Assante, John Paul Mitchell, Jon Voight, music legends Cheap Trick, Billy Idol, Steven Tyler and No Doubt. Paul McCartney is a fan and Ringo Starr owns a Shannon original painting of him and John Lennon that hangs above his original drum kit in his recording studio.
