Melissa Otero Embarks On First U.S. Tour

The Children's Hospital of Wisconsin endorses on The Free Spirit Tour that kicks off June 4th at The Saint James Lounge

June 2, 2009 - PRLog -- It’s been a long journey for Melissa Otero and her music. She began work on her debut album “My Spirit” during the summer of 2006. She traveled to Mexico, Puerto Rico and back to New York recording, mixing and writing. After so many years of hard work, “My Spirit” was finally released on Christmas Day of 2008 and has since received incredible reviews from all over the nation and in some parts of Europe.

This summer Melissa begins her first tour sponsored by the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Karate America. Her first single “10:40pm” has been on rotation in Hawaii, Colombia, France, Germany, New York, Connecticut, Florida and on some internet radio stations. NBC Universal has picked up the music video to include it in an independent showcase run during the summer and a local McDonalds in NYC will play it at its franchise during the month of July.

The wait is over for this small town Puerto Rican girl to take over the industry by storm. The major event of this tour will be for the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Benefit Concert on August 21st in Appleton, WI. Tickets will go on sale during the course of the tour and you can already find a link to purchase tickets for her performance in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Melissa’s tour will be through the State of Wisconsin, San Juan, Puerto Rico and in New York City. Her first show is on June 4th at The Saint James Lounge in Appleton, WI and her last show is at Fontana’s in New York City on September 3rd. For all tour dates, please visit www.melissamusic.com
