Celebrity Chef Maria Liberati Cooks For The Crowd At New Whole Foods Market Culinary Center

Celebrity chef Maria Liberati demonstrates her culinary skill at the Whole Foods Market Culinary Center in Annapolis, Maryland.

June 11, 2009 - PRLog -- PHILADELPHIA, PA- Italian chef and author of the bestselling book, The Basic Art of Italian Cooking, Maria Liberati comes to Whole Foods Market in Annapolis, Maryland for a Taste of Tuscany cooking class. Liberati will be teaching some of her favorite Tuscan style summer picnic dishes on July 16 at the new Whole Foods Market Culinary Center.

The event starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday just inside the Culinary Center. The demonstration will include a number of recipes from her first book, The Basic Art of Italian Cooking along with a few others from her cooking school in Tuscany. This is a free demonstration that is open to the public. The participants will get a chance to sample the recipes made by Maria, and also learn to recreate a few on their own during the demonstration.

Maria Liberati is regularly featured in many national and international publications and has been called the "Italian Martha Stewart" by Celebrity Society Magazine (June 2006) and is considered one of the foremost experts on Italian Cuisine and culture. The Basic Art of Italian Cooking consists of simple recipes intertwined with a fascinating collection of memoirs of her travels through Italy. Her second book, The Basic Art of Italian Cooking: Holidays & Special Occasions is set to release in September.
