June 16, 2009 - PRLog -- San Diego, Calif.  – ARIA Condos, (www.Aria-SanDiego.com) located in Downtown San Diego’s exclusive Cortez Hill Neighborhood, commissioned the expertise of award-winning Ami Samuels Interiors (ASI) to design the 21st floor penthouses. This unique partnership between ARIA and ASI was developed to showcase the best use of space within each of the penthouse units, highlighting the features, layout and amenities to brokers, agents and prospective buyers.

ARIA took a creative approach to presenting these new homes to the downtown community by hosting an educational, yet entertaining and chic design seminar that took place on June 3, 2009, called “Spaces to Places: An ARIA Staging Event.” During the event, ARIA’s sales team showcased the newly designed models to real estate brokers and agents, such as Anthony Napoli, president of Anthony Napoli Real Estate Group.

According to Napoli, “Seeing the designed penthouse units was like night and day compared to before. ARIA’s strategy to model these units provides brokers the greatest tool we could ask for, that is a visual that we can present to our clients of what the unit will look like when it’s occupied. The modeled units are a great resource for us in our sales approach.”

“The ARIA sales team received great feedback from our clients and event attendees on the new design of the models,” said Richard Garcia of Aria Marketing Corporation. “We have several new potential buyers that are interested in making ARIA their home since we’ve shown the designed units.”

ASI designed the 21st floor penthouse models to highlight the great workmanship, features and unique floor plan of the ARIA units. ASI created a focal point in the floor plan by using color on an accent wall, the designers took advantage of the floor to ceiling windows by bringing the outside color into the indoor color palette and used mirrors on the walls to reflect the downtown view into the unit to create the appearance of more space. By using a similar color scheme throughout the art and accessories ASI created a cohesive look that allowed the unit to house a living, dining and work space in the same area.

A few of the design tips that ASI used when designing the models, and can be applied by homeowners to turn their “Space into a Place” and make them more attractive to potential buyers include:

- Blend similarly scaled pieces but NOT the same size pieces
- Mix it up when selecting fabrics, combine solids, patterns and stripes
- Avoid the furniture set. Don’t be afraid to mix wood tones
- Choose an overall house paint that will go everywhere and then introduce a few accent paints that complement
- A few big accessories are better than a lot of small items
- Groupings of 3 items of varying heights and shapes
