Sept. 12, 2009 - PRLog -- A new video by Catholic sisters in Texas explains how St. Benedict’s mission is carried out today in the sisters’ work and life.
The video, made by the Benedictine Sisters of South Texas, explains that the Benedictine Order was founded in the sixth century during a time of a lack of faith and morals. The video traces how the saint’s life exercised a fundamental influence on the development of European civilization and culture, and today, how today the sisters, with a life of prayer, work and conversion, seek to be a transforming presence in our present-day culture of death.
The video can be seen at http://www.YouTube.com/BenedictinesSoTexas, or on the sisters’ website at www.StarrcountyBenedictines.org. The video was produced by TreeFrogClick, Inc., which provides web services to religious communities. For more information, contact Sr. Nancy Boushey, OSB, at 956-486-2680.
