Follow on Google News | CETSAT adopts children’s charity to help 50,000 Londoners impacted by cerebral palsyIT solutions company CETSAT has invested £14,000 to improve services at The London Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy
By: Livewire PR The only organisation of its kind in London, CP London delivers conductive education to help children gain greater control and co-ordination of their muscles and movement early on in the hope that they can become as independent as possible. Children learn how to overcome particular difficulties in their manipulation and control of small objects such as pencils, spoons and toys, to develop speech and language skills, and acquire daily living skills such as dressing, toileting and sitting independently. The aim is to improve quality of life, independence, confidence and self-esteem for the children, many of whom lack vocal skills and rely on technology aids to communicate. The Centre currently supports some 60 children and their families and over the next three years it plans to increase the number of people benefiting from its services by 700%. Such growth is reliant on having a strong IT infrastructure and CETSAT aims to significantly improve the charity’s return on investment within 12 months through increased efficiency. As part of the ‘Adopt a Charity’ initiative, a new website has been set up for CP London, a donations database will be implemented to aid fundraising and each child will have wireless internet access and computer login details. Deepa Korea, CEO at CP London, commented: “We believe that this partnership with CETSAT will have far reaching effects right across our organisation and enable us to reach many more children with cerebral palsy and their families. We are grateful for this investment which will help us to develop our services significantly. CETSAT has had a real impact from day one as it reassures staff that our technology infrastructure is taken care of and issues can be quickly resolved over the phone.” Robert Leitch, Business Development Director, CETSAT Ltd, said: “We are confident that our investment will help The London Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy to develop its IT infrastructure to enable it to serve many more Londoners who crucially need its specialist services.” CETSAT has decided to adopt a charity for a year, every year, through an awards selection process to demonstrate that with the right investment in technology an organisation can flourish. Awards judge Richenda Wood, Managing Director of education specialist Livewire Public Relations, added: “As a consultancy involved with improving education through technology, it is great to see that The London Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy’s services can be extended throughout the community to benefit up to 50,000 Londoners.” For further information about The London Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy please visit the newly launched website: www.cplondon.org.uk or email: info@cplondon.org.uk.
