ANZ Bows to Pressure

The last (ANZ) of the big four banks has fallen into line on penalty fees.

Sept. 30, 2009 - PRLog -- ANZ’s overdrawn fees are down from $35 to $6, and, significantly, nothing at all if the overdraw is less than $50. Once again, however, no mention of any plans to compensate customers for what’s gone on for the last six years.

Having campaigned hard about ANZ’s offensive  charge of $14 per duplicate statement, it is also nice to see that they are getting rid of this charge altogether. Now our customers can finally afford to obtain their own records.

Valueseeker is all about helping consumers and businesses make more informed choices when it comes to financial products. I want to expose those financial institutions whose products and services represent very poor value to the consumer. By the same token, where a financial product genuinely offers good value to you the consumer, I will be happy to recommend it.
