Baxter Bog Cards & Collectibles and its affiliate website, Alaska eBooks Alaskan Authors, are a family affair. Jon K. Bue and his wife Patricia A. Bue, started Baxter Bog Cards & Collectibles this year. They focus on quality sales and service, selling not only baseball cards and other collectibles, such as antique jewelry, but are selling Homer, Alaska, beach rocks and Mount Redoubt volcanic ash as well.

The ebook idea started when Patricia wrote the children's story Kelly's Frontier. Once she finished the manuscript, the Bues thought to make an ebook, using Patricia's own Homer, Alaska, photographs.

Enter lifelong Alaskan Arne L. Bue. Born and raised in Ketchikan, Alaska, retired, and living with his wife Shirley Bue in Anchorage, Alaska, he'd authored a trade paperback, Baxter Bog Interlude, Northwest Publishing, 1994. His son Jon, sells this trade paperback in his eBay store, Baxter Bog Cards & Collectibles, offering buyers personalized author signatures.  Amazon, also, carries the trade paperback version of this page-turner.

As it turns out, Arne L. Bue and Shirley S. Bue both had already created other manuscripts. The Lid, and Banto Carbon and the Prehistoric Proboscis were written by Arne L. Bue. Shirley wrote the literary Humble Snyder. Arne Bue transformed these manuscripts into ebooks, also.

"Baxter Bog Cards & Collectibles are the publishers of these ebooks," said Arne L. Bue. "I'm just the printer. I transform the manuscripts into Adobe PDF format. Then I get the copyrights and ISBNs. They're fun to read. You use Adobe Digital Editions® to really enjoy this," he added.

As one goes through the website, Alaska eBooks Alaskan Authors, one quickly sees how to download Adobe Flash Player® and Adobe Digital Editions® to start you on your way. "A few clicks, you're ready to go," Bue said.

The free Adobe Digital Editions® download (Windows® and Mac OS) takes less than a minute to install over a broadband connection.

But you can also read these books on your Kindle and virtually any other ebook reader.

Arne L. Bue points out that "Alaska eBooks Alaskan Authors is a separate operation from the eBay part of the business. Kind of like a subsidiary." He added, " I hope it'll introduce a few readers to the world of ebooks. I read them all the time at home and on my iPhone."

In addition to the free ebook on Smashwords - Banto Carbon and the Prehistoric Proboscis - ebook readers may acquire the other Alaskan ebooks at Amazon and eBookMall, by following the links on Alaska eBooks Alaskan Authors. Be sure to use your search engine to find us..
