Follow on Google News | Sleepless Night Miami Beach Awakens on November 7Sleepless Night Miami Beach will be held November 7, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Over 130 FREE multi-genre arts & entertainment events at over 80 locations.
By: Nannette Rodriguez This year it will feature virtual reality live animation performances, digital nightscape graffiti, interactive three-screen manipulated films, musical marionettes, a pajama run, helium-balloon acrobats, a flash mob dance, and much more. Street spectacles, acrobatics, film, comedy, dance, indoor and outdoor installations and more will be offered for free. More than 130 events in more than 100 locations spread throughout four zones, from Ocean Drive to Normandy Fountain. Free shuttle buses with onboard artistic programming will connect the various zones of activity. From north to south, there will be something for every audience to enjoy and be awed, amazed and amused throughout the sleepless night. Sleepless Night is patterned after White Nights (Nuit Blanche) cultural series held across Europe (Paris, Rome, Madrid, and Brussels) and Toronto.
