The result of the concerted efforts of the Salesian Society and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the club was founded on the belief that children should have a haven from which to escape the perils of the streets. In 1994 the Salesian Family Youth Center was opened and in 1999 became an affiliate of the Salesian Boys & Girls Club. Both centers, though physically separated, are united by their mission. This is done by providing programs and services to members and their families in five core areas: Character & Leadership Development; Media Contact: Contact: Charmaine Blake, Publicist Cell- (310)926-5864 Office- (310)284-6685 Email- charmaine@charmaineprfirm.com Assistant@charmaineprfirm.com Charisma Wills www.charmaineprfirm.com End
