Speed Up My PC By Cleaning Registry

Oct. 27, 2009 - PRLog -- Like most computer users, I could feel that the performance of my PC simply deteriorated with time. I was determined to know how I could speed up my PC and get it back up and running to almost the speeds at which I initially bought it. I therefore searched for ways to do it. I realized that there are a number of things - some obvious and some not so obvious, which are required to be done to speed up my PC. I am presenting my experience that you can use for your personal use too, and get your PC up and running to its optimal speed.

The most obvious thing to do is to clean up your hard disk of any unnecessary information. The biggest culprit in this case usually is the Temporary Internet Files that you should at once get rid of. Also, if your recycle bin isn't emptied for a long time, now is the time to take action. Then, defragmenting your disk greatly improves performance since the hard disk no longer needs to search and piece together data from different parts of your hard disk. You also need to keep your registry clean, because a clogged registry can greatly affect the speed of your computer. Registry errors are to be gotten rid of, and this greatly helped speed up my PC.

Other tasks like cleaning up invalid shortcuts and outdated files also helped to speed up my PC. Rectifying errors and taking care of corrupted DLL files were other tasks which were of great help. Such a thorough investigation of your PC might take a lot of time. Therefore I recommend the use of readymade programs that are specially made to speed up your PC. There are a lot of registry cleaners available online to facilitate the process.

I have tried a number of such programs, but the best by far was Errorfix. This not only automatically fixes and gets rid of all the unnecessary registry entries, but also fixes all startup and DLL errors. In addition, there are many supplementary tasks like organizing the computer and startup items in order to ensure the best PC performance. Thus if you serious about speeding up your PC then Errorfix is tailor made for your needs.
