Follow on Google News | Lilly Allen lands at West OrchardsLilly Allen fans had to overcome The Fear and sing at a Coventry shopping centre for a chance to be in a revamped music video for one of her biggest hits.
Shoppers at West Orchards took part in a special recording session at the city centre venue where individuals, or groups of up to three people, were invited to enter a special booth to sing along to the full three minutes and 27 seconds of The Fear from Allen’s album It's Not Me, It's You. The footage could now be used to remake the original video for the song. The promotion was run by Xbox, who are using the booth to promote new sing-a-long game Lips; Number One Hits which is released this month. Footage from the event could also be used in a television advert for the game which is due to be screened during the X-Factor final on ITV. The booth will be stopping off at most of the UK’s major cities and towns between October 19 and November 29. West Orchards Shopping Centre manager Andy Talbot said: “This was great fun and although it might have seemed a bit daunting to sing for three and a half minutes people were not be taken over by the fear! “We are delighted that so many people got involved and it would be great if we could have some people from the city featured in a music video for one of the most successful pop acts in recent times.” ENDS Media enquiries: Simon Gilbert Advent Communications 2 Edison Building Electric Wharf Sandy Lane Coventry CV1 4JA Tel: 024 7663 3636 http://www.advent- # # # Advent Communications is a well-established public relations consultancy based in Coventry.
