SwoopBUg anoounces Non Profit Auctions

Nov. 19, 2009 - PRLog -- Beginning December  1st 2009 Sweepbug.com a reverse penny auction web site will offer auctions for the benefit of Non profit and charitable organizations.
Unlike most other fund raising organizations swoopbug will not take a percentage of there auction proceeds for administrative costs.The only deduction from any proceeds will be the wholesale cost of the item being auction off.
If the non profit or charity provides the merchandise then there are no deductions at all. Swoop bug will provide a certified copy of the auctions  income. the Administrators of swoop Bug admit there is no monetary gain for them by this offering but they believe as members of the community they have an obligation to give back some of what they receive to benefit others. besides it's also good word of mouth advertising . By promoting the charity or non profit we are in turn promoting ourselves.

The economy is such right now that all the non profits are struggling just to stay above water,food banks,even red Cross is under the gun especially as the holidays come round. We are a bit late for this year since we are just a start up, but by next year we hope to have made a significant impact with the community and even the little we can do during the course of the year will help some. Our first Charitable fund raiser will be for memoriesoflove foundation in Jacksonville Florida. An organization founded by Mel Gotlieb that help provide a week long vacation in Florida with a stay at a hotel and 6 days worth of visits to all the Disney properties, most  food is also included.This is for a family who's adult parent has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and has a short life span. the adult must have children under the ages of 18. I chose this organization 1st because of a personal experience with them during a family crisis.  Their understanding and compassion are heart warming. And Helen their director is just a remarkable person and with back up support for children during those trying time helps dramatically. different from the children's foundations who only deal with children this organization has chose to make their focus on the struggling adult who is about to leave his or her family behind.
