Business mentoring champion, and Manchester entrepreneur Marilyn Comrie, has enlisted the professional services of Lisa Maynard-Atem, who runs the Manchester-based styling consultancy STYLISA, to prepare her for her special royal appointment with Her Majesty the Queen at Buckingham Palace, on Friday 4th December 2009.

Marilyn, who is the CEO of business mentoring and coaching company LeaderGen Ltd, was honoured in this year’s Queens Birthday Honours List, and will receive a prestigious OBE insignia in recognition of her services to women’s enterprise at the investiture ceremony.

Said Marilyn “I never imagined the kind of the impact that STYLISA’s rebranding and styling strategy was going to have. I just wanted to look my best for my day at Buckingham Palace. But Lisa took a much more strategic approach in creating the ‘Marilyn’ brand. In styling me, Lisa carefully constructed a commanding world class image that draw parallels with other powerful, female role-models, such as Michelle Obama, Condoleezza Rice, Oprah Winfrey, and Hilary Clinton. The look is absolutely fabulous and stylish.”

Lisa, who will be in charge of dressing Marilyn for the big day, has already used her strategic styling abilities, to help Marilyn to secure a six figure contract with a major organisation, and is excited to see what opportunities will come Marilyn’s way as a result of her OBE.

Lisa says “Marilyn being awarded an OBE for her services to women in enterprise is confirmation of what a truly inspirational woman she is. I am honoured that she has asked me to help prepare her, for such a momentous occasion, and I look forward to all the exciting developments that will no doubt present themselves as a result of this honour”.

Lisa, has enlisted the help of fellow up and coming female entrepreneurs, fashion designer Jane Phelps of JStreet and Marcia Henden, accessory designer.

Lisa made her name within fashion circles by styling former Coronation Street star Richard Fleeshman, when he sang on Soapstar Superstar.

More recently, Lisa was asked to style an exclusive fashion show, for supermodel Caprice's latest collection. The Didsbury-based stylist oversaw the catwalk show of pieces by the model-turned-designer. And following the event which was filmed for satellite TV channel Fashion TV, Lisa was asked to get involved with the prestigious London Fashion Week.
