Northern Europes First Solgar Dedicated Online Vitamin Store Opened

Dec. 17, 2009 - PRLog -- Solgar Vitamin & Herb Company Inc, USA has been innovating and producing fine quality nutritional supplements since 1947. As a globally recognized manufacturer, Solgar products are distributed throughout the world in over 45 different countries. Solgar’s nutritional supplements products was first introduced to the Scandinavian market through its danish distributor Solgar Nordic in 1997. Many of the local health food shops, found it nearly impossible to keep all the products in stock, especially amidst all the other brands that their customers demanded. Unfortunately, this lead to a great frustration, as some customers found it very difficult to get a hold of the specific Solgar product they required, as they were often not in stock.

The solution to this problem was quite simple. The only way to do the vast Solgar products range justice, was to open a health food store completely dedicated to only selling and promoting the Solgar brand. Vitamin Pharmacy Scandinavia was founded in spring 2009 to meet this particular need. However, as Daniel Forslund (MD) soon noticed, a physical health food shop was not enough to meet the growing demand for Solgar’s wide range of products. Many consumers in Scandinavia live in very small, rural and remote areas, where health food stores are not available. There was an increasing demand to make the entire Solgar range available online, in order to enable consumers to make postal orders.

On December 10th 2009, www.vitaminpharmacy.com  was finally completed and launced in Sweden. The website has been awarded with the Solgar Etailer Seal of Approval. This online webshop is an extension of the company’s physical health food store, but now makes it possible for consumers to place orders from all over Sweden and Scandinavia. The webshop is mult-lingual and caters to all the local languages in this region, and purchases can be made from any of the local currencies.
