Jack was ferrying a plane from Camp Bravo in northern Alaska to a base not far from Anchorage. After the flight, he was heading home for a much-needed vacation. But as Jack piloted the plane, the unpredictable Alaska weather worsened and the engine quit. Jack’s lone passenger, Harry, then radioed in the wrong location.

Against all odds, Jack manages to land the plane and the two men find shelter. To relieve the tension and kill time as they wait for a rescue that may not come, the men talk about women: the one who got away, the one who didn’t, and the one who would make everything worthwhile. Jack and Harry come to agree that home is not simply a place, but home is where you are when you’re with the person you love.
