Cohen assumes responsibilities at Briarcliffe College BETHPAGE, NY – (February 18, 2010) “I am delighted to be joining the Briarcliffe College community,” said Dr. Cohen, a native Long Islander. “I have witnessed the growth and development of the college all my life. I am fortunate to be joining an exceptional team of men and women charged with advancing the mission and goals of the institution.” In his capacity as provost, Dr. Cohen is responsible for all of Briarcliffe’ Prior to joining Briarcliffe College, Dr. Cohen served as Vice President/Provost at Five Towns College (Dix Hills, NY) where he also served as Chief Academic Officer. During his tenure, he oversaw the school’s accreditation activities, registered new programs and conducted reviews of doctoral programs. Briarcliffe College Appoints Provost A licensed attorney, Provost Cohen is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, and Florida. He is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and currently serves as a member and secretary of the Suffolk County Film Commission.
