Follow on Google News | “Next Episode” To Create Story-Focused Cinematic Serials for Web, TV, and FilmNew production company, with website NextEpisodeOnline.com, will produce character-driven content for local and national clients.
By: Media 3 Group http://www.NextEpisodeOnline.com. Company founder Daniel Greeney, a seasoned film and video editor as well as a writer-producer, explains his company’s mission. “Exciting storytelling has become critical to maintain what every organization now needs - an audience,” Greeney says. “Whether its a large corporation or a small nonprofit, everyone must hold the public’s attention if they want their message to have a lasting impact. Serial, cinematic stories, whether for the big or small screen, have always offered the best ability to do that.” Citing the success of everything from Reality TV, to online video for both internet marketing and entertainment, and to scripted television shows that feature products and services integrated into actual plot-lines, Greeney says Next Episode's intent is to combine the strengths of prior formats, with none of their weaknesses. “We’re positioned at the forefront of the next wave of new media storytelling. Where quality, innovation, and risk no longer take a backseat to the constant hunger for new content.” Greeney believes the best clients for Next Episode to be groups or individuals who recognize the power of quality stories told on a recurring basis. “Corporate sponsorship and product placement are nothing new,” he continues. “But actually creating a scripted or documentary series to promote a product or service, or get out a public-interest message - that’s an exciting opportunity. It’s an outgrowth of the combination of low-cost, high-quality film and video production, and the power of new distribution methods.” Greeney, who holds a degree in Creative Writing from Wisconsin’s Beloit College, has worked in the film industry in both New York City and Hollywood, but returned to his Midwest roots because “I believe a local flavor adds to a project and lends it some credibility. Plus,” he laughs, “the places where I grew up are all really cheap to shoot in.” Next Episode also enlists collaborators Tamir Ardon and Matt Vermeulen, fellow writer-producers now in Hollywood and New York, but who know Greeney from previous work in Chicago and Michigan, respectively. “The intent is to grow,” says Ardon, who also owns a small company in L.A. that produces Reality television. “We want to start small, producing really great shows for local clients on a limited budget, but always with an eye toward bigger productions.” Vermeulen continues, “There are dozens of film and video companies in local markets who are technically proficient, but who fail to understand what makes an interesting story. Focusing on quality storytelling with compelling characters who grow over time is the only way to keep viewers - meaning customers and donors - coming back.” # # # Next Episode (http://www.nextepisodeonline.com) is a one-stop production house specializing in the creation of serial, cinematic, story-focused, character-based content for web, TV, and film.
