2010 WMIFF Nominates Al Sutton's Short Film, ALL IN A ROW, for Best Original Sound and Best Director

March 23, 2010 - PRLog -- (New York City ) ALL IN A ROW  has been nominated  by the 2010 World Music and Independent Film Festival for "Best Original Sound" and "Best Directing," and has been selected to the second phase of judging for "Best Short Film."   Awards will be given out for the best documentaries, short film, full feature and best music videos at the Red Carpet Event on August 21st, 2010 at the Capital Hilton in Washington, DC.  

The festival will spotlight the world's finest entertainment and talent, uniting artists from all over the world.   Special celebrity guests and judges include Oscar Winner, Louis Gossett Jr, "Tiger Claws", Cynthia Rothrock and David Stevenson, "Dawson Creeks" Johnny Alonso, 2003 Grammy Award Winner, Charles Robinson and 2008 and 2009 Grammy Nominee, Cisco Steel.   The Festival will be filmed by TV44 The Global Channel and will be aired at a later date.  

ALL IN A ROW is one of the few films that the legendary pianist, Chris Anderson, composed and played the musical score for. Remarkably,  he was blind at the time of the filming, though was sensitive to the nuances of the film through the dialogue, and descriptions.   The short film, produced and directed by Al Sutton, has been acclaimed as a "luxurious period piece, perfectly poised and dated."   It also showcases the talents of famed photographer and cinematographer, the late Arnold Eagle, as consultant to the film.

Al Sutton MD is an American filmmaker, and actor, who has produced a variety of films of different genres, including documentaries in the medical field, documentaries of memorable, historic events, and theatrical films. He is also a musician, and operates his own record label, Alsut Records.
