Auto Detail Business Begins with the Brilliant Vision of an Eight-year old

In 2002, Emmanuel Williams, founder and CEO of DetailXPerts, was sitting on his porch with his eight year old son, Emmanuel Junior.  They watched cars go by while talking about the world and the environment.  Emmanuel Junior had an epiphany and he said, “Hey Dad, why don’t your wash cars with steam?”  This was the beginning of the eco-friendly auto detail business.

Emmanuel Senior was intrigued by his son’s query and as a good engineer does, he began experimenting until he perfected the process that he later patented.  Once the technical aspects were in order, Emmanuel was joined by his wife, Angela, who took on the creation and testing of a business model that made economic sense.  They opened the first DetailXPerts site in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2006.
