By: KMPH Because the 2010 election is of vital importance to the people of California and to the state’s future, a new news program featuring the day’s important political stories has been born. Starting on Monday, April 5, 2010, “California Vote 2010” airs Monday through Friday on a network of stations throughout the state and on the web. “California Vote 2010” is a 30-minute program of news and analysis produced by KMPH-TV in Fresno and anchored by Monty Torres, an award-winning anchor for that station. “California Vote 2010” features political news and analysis that impacts Californians. It follows the stories that break inside the state and around the country. It tracks campaign contributions and spending. It investigates government waste, monitors campaigns, and takes a hard look at the daily handling of the state’s budget crisis. The program also features in-depth, probing interviews with candidates for state offices, ranging from US Senator, to Governor, to state Assembly seats. “We know how important the results of this election are to Californians so we made the decision to dedicate the resources needed to put together this daily news program,” says Jack Peck, Vice President and General Manager for KMPH-TV and KFRE-TV in Fresno. “We’ “California Vote 2010” will air Monday through Friday on KFRE CW 59 @ 10pm and on KMPH FOX 26 @ 12am.
