Winnipeg Based Spiritual Author Is Ready To Share Her Message With The World

April 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Winnipeg based spiritual healer and author Cathy Matarazzo today announced her entry into The Next Top Spiritual Author competition because, in her words, “it’s time to share this vital message to the world”.

Both a certified spiritual healer and an ordained peace minister, Matarazzo has helped many hundreds of people overcome a range of emotional, physical and spiritual problems over the course of her 15 year plus career.  Her book, entitled Freedom Wake, is a heartfelt expression of the lessons and truths she has discovered while undergoing her work.

“I believe the miracle for all of us is in the knowing that we can change as long as we are open to the process of letting go, gently, all of that which is no longer serving our highest purpose.   Have you even for a moment considered the impact that you have on others just by being YOU? That is the essence of the work that I do and that is the essence of the message of this book,” says Matarazzo.

The Internet based competition involves over 2500 current and prospective authors from around the world who are ready to share their inspiring messages with the world by pitching their book and asking visitors for their vote.   The multi-stage contest will culminate with one author being selected as the “Next Top Spiritual Author” and being awarded a publishing contract with Hampton Roads Publishing, as well as a promotional package to help market his/her book when it is released.  

So can a little known author from Winnipeg really play on the big stage?

Matarazzo believes so.  “Wayne Gretzky once said, ‘I don't go to where the puck is , I go to where it's going to be’.  That’s the way I feel about unveiling this book.  One of my favourite authors is Neale Donald Walsch and he says that you can best serve humanity by getting out of the coffee shop or bookstore and getting into the street.  I believe that to be true.”

“This book has been 15 years in the making and Winnipeg is an integral part of its inspiration.  I’ve been blessed to be part of a community that embodies the spirit and values shared within the book.
