Honoring the Goddess World Healing Ceremony sponsored by Spiritual Unity Movement

April 8, 2010 - PRLog -- The Honoring the Goddess World Healing Ceremony, sponsored by the Spiritual Unity Movement (SUM), will be presented at 6:55 p.m. Saturday, May 29 at “The Onion” Sacred Dome 9550 Haskell Ave. in North Hills (near the I-405 and Nordoff). SUM is an all-denominational, non-profit organization dedicated to honoring and celebrating the truth that exists at the heart of all faith traditions. Guest speaker this month is Angela Woodcock (Lady Oxannamoon) with Deena Efferson who will perform a sacred prayer dance.
   
Angela Woodcock is a second generation witch (Lady Oxanamoon) raised in an eclectic shamanic tradition. Among the Elders who have graced her with their wisdom, power, and love are Metis Clan Mother and Medicine Woman, Hua Anwa, Lakota Dance Chief, Lyn Starflyer, world renowned psychic medium, the Rev. Steve Harmon, author, Conjureman and Faery Seer, Orion Foxwood, and keeper of Siberian Shamanic Wisdoms, Dr. Elena Loboda, to name but a few.  And in pursuit of her Anthropology degree, Oxannamoon has added to this enticing mélange, a keen understanding of the academic perspective of many of the world’s religions, as well as the history and evolution of Goddess worship.  She is a published author, an ordained minister and the founder and High Priestess of The Inner Temple.
   
Deena Efferson, affectionately known as "Doctor Deena", has been a teacher/healer for more than 30 years. She is trained as Hypnotherapist, Physical trainer, Natural Foods Therapist, Reiki Master, and is also a Fourth Level Reconnection Practitioner. Her Practice focuses on helping others reconnect with their life purpose, achieve their dreams and live in radiant health and happiness. Deena is a singer/songwriter and the performer of the The Sacred Prayer Dance. This dance system utilizes the powerful energies of the Universe which heals all who are in attendance.

The president of SUM, Patrick Harbula, says that the organization encourages people from all religious and philosophical backgrounds to link together in unified spiritual service through the practice of prayer and meditation.  Harbula says, “Imagine all the religions of the world praying together for world healing and harmony.  We are at a crucial time in our planetary history when it is not only possible but essential to go beyond the belief systems that separate various spiritual paths to the heart of spiritual service where we find unity.”

These monthly World Healing Meditation Ceremonies are held at or near the time of the full moon and are sponsored by the Spiritual Unity Movement (SUM). They are held at “The Onion” Sacred Dome 9550 Haskell Ave. in North Hills in the San Fernando Valley (near the 405 and Nordoff).

Meditation is held at the time of the full moon to be in harmony with ancient traditions honoring the sacred mother and natural rhythms of the universe. Each and every World Healing Ceremony includes an Honoring the World Religions Ceremony, world-renowned keynote speakers, live inspirational music, guided meditation, deep meditation, world blessing ritual and a 15 minute forum on the theme of the evening conducted by the key note speaker directly following the closing ritual.

There is a $10 suggested donation (or whatever is comfortable) for this event. Because Spiritual Unity Movement is an all-denominational organization, it accepts denominations of all sizes.
