There are several steps that can reduce the exposure of these flying insects using you as a pin cushion. Prevention is the key in reducing the possible exposure to stinging insects. There are countless people who have severe allergic reactions to wasp and bee stings on a yearly basis. The problem with this is that we are unable to know if our younger children are prone to these severe reactions. That is why at Trapper Dan’s Wildlife and Pest Control we believe that prevention is the key to reducing wasp and bee health related issues.  By having your home treated on a regularly scheduled pest service you are able to reduce the chances that a wasp or bee will have a chance to build a nest in an unsuspecting area.
Here are a few tips that may help reduce your chances of getting hit by a wasp or bee.
1.   Whenever you are mowing grass be on the lookout for areas in the yard that have any yellow jackets flying around, because there may be a nest in the ground and when you run over the nest the vibration from the mower may send them in frenzy.
2.   Whenever you are having cook outs or outdoor events where there is food, make sure to cover dishes to reduce attracting unwanted guess.
3.   If you see nest hanging in your eves or around the trim areas of your home, make sure to eliminate them so they will not grow in size.
4.   If you start having a problem with wasp showing up in your living quarters there may be a wasp nest in your attic. A lot of time Paper wasp will build nest in attic and will start showing themselves throughout your home.
5.   Another place that you may see wasp or bees is around your chimney; sometimes they will build a nest inside of the chimney cavity.
