From My Farm Sponsors Slow Food UK

April 26, 2010 - PRLog -- From My Farm, the regional fruit and vegetable brand, has joined forces with Slow Food UK to help them to promote the greater enjoyment of food through a better understanding of its taste, quality and production.  Slow Food do this through initiatives, projects, raising awareness and tackling food issues through their grassroots volunteer network.

As sponsors, the new funding provided by From My Farm will go towards educational projects and events and will help raise the profile of various Slow Food initiatives over the next 12 months.

From My Farm was launched in October 2008 in response to the growing consumer demand for seasonal, regional fresh produce.  The brain child of Charlotte Falkingham, a farmer’s daughter from Yorkshire, this new brand has grown quickly in the last 18 months to establish itself as the leading provider of quality seasonal produce to a number of high street supermarkets and specialist retailers.  

From My Farm works at reducing food miles as all of their produce is truly regional indicated through the on pack growers stamp.  The offer changes each week as crops come in and out of season and only the freshest, tastiest produce is selected.
