New Panel Mount Joystick with Adjustable Force

April 29, 2010 - PRLog -- Grayhill is introducing a new version of their Series 60A with adjustable tactile feel.  The new Series 60AD is an optical encoder with tactile dome contacts for the joystick instead of the tact switches used in the standard 60A.  Because of this, Grayhill offers the 60AD with the option for low, medium or high actuation forces on the joystick and pushbutton.  This gives product designers the ability to customize the feel of the input device to match the application.  For example, an automobile manufacturer has requested a lighter actuation force to make it easier for a driver to operate the onboard info/navigation system.  In another example, a motorized wheelchair manufacturer requested a greater force be required to prevent accidental movement.
