Brain Hurricane Is Leader In Creative And Innovative Methods Of Teaching

This innovative and creative program teaches them to solve problems as a part of a team while improving their mathematics and reading skills. Introduced by Reed Howard, a lifelong teacher who has an experience of over 35 years in teaching, this program guarantees a positive learning experience for the students and makes learning fun. It uses the teaching strategies which were developed by Reed Howard over her teaching career, and she has successfully worked with more than 6000 students in seven different states over the past six years.

Brain hurricane has pioneered various creative and innovative methods of teaching to lessen the stress of cramming on students. This program has various activities like team-based hands-on learning with movement activities, lessons and divergent problem-solving activities to assist the students to learn in better manner and inspire their interest in learning. This program lays emphasis on practical knowledge as it has more utilization in real life situations than the theoretical knowledge.

In a study conducted by the Director of the Center for Research in Educational Policy (CREP), at the University of Memphis, it was revealed that the students of Brain Hurricane made remarkable gains on pre and post test scores. On an average, the pre to post test NCE gains for all Brain Hurricane students was almost half of the standard deviation (d=0.50) which means that the students showed average gains of 30% in reading, 22% in language, and 29% in mathematics.
