Wireless European Switch From ILLUMRA Lights the Way to New Markets

The new product is available in either black or white, and 315 or 868 MHz configurations, with a housing that resists tampering and theft. This switch is one of three new energy-efficient products rolling out at the upcoming LIGHTFAIR trade show in Las Vegas (EnOcean/ILLUMRA booth #2027).

With a range up to 150 feet, the light switches can control lights in both homes and businesses. The switches mount to walls–using screws or industrial tape–or in standard switch boxes.

Based on the EnOcean protocol, the ILLUMRA product line includes light switches and sensors (temperature, occupancy and light), dimmers, receivers/relays, and HVAC controls, many of which are wireless and self-powered using mechanical or solar energy sources. Battery-free transmitters communicate with room and building controllers to conserve energy through occupancy sensing, daylight harvesting and personal workspace control technologies.
