May 11, 2010 - PRLog -- The NFPA Foundation Board of Directors would like to congratulate Cleveland Community College and Marquette University for being awarded the Fall 2010 gifts. The Fluid Power and Cloud System Interface is being headed up by Professor Mark Gengler, Cleveland Community College and Professor Jack Samuelson at Marquette University is heading up the Fluid Power Workshop for Teachers. In addition to strengthening ties between individual researchers and industry, NFPA’s giving program seeks to stimulate interest in fluid power on campuses across the country and attract some of the best and brightest students to the field.

Gifts are awarded to projects that actively engage students at all grade levels in learning about and supporting research in motion control through fluid power.  The program encourages the development of new teaching resources.  Through programs such as this, NFPA’s Education and Technology Foundation continues to foster ongoing forums between educators and industry so that ideas and priorities of mutual interest can be shared and set.

NFPA Education and Technology Foundation gifts are awarded to recipients to support activities at middle schools, high schools, technical colleges, and university undergraduate and graduate programs within the range of $1,000 - $5,000. Some examples include:
