May 21, 2010 - PRLog -- However, that is the situation for your first credit report from each of the 3 major credit bureaus each year. The government mandates that you must get a free look at your credit report because your credit score is such an important factor in your financial life.

Aurora Lillo Editor of the "Best Credit Reporting Services" website -- http://www.BestCreditReportServices.com -- pointed out;

“...To get your free look at your credit report, the only thing you need to do is log onto your computer and travel to the credit bureaus websites. Once on the websites, you will be asked to provide some basic identification information. The identity information is usually nothing more then your full legal name, date of birth, address, and social security number...”

You will want to get your credit report online, so that you can print out a copy of it for your files. If you get your report through other methods, then you will not have a paper copy with you that you can refer back to later. When you do check your score, you are going to want to do so on a computer that you can print from. If you check it from a computer that does not print, then you are only going to get the one opportunity to look at it.

“...You can pay to see your report from the same agency if you want to look at it more than once. However, why would you pay for something that you can get for free?...” added A. Lillo.
