Emerald launches African Journal of Economic and Management Studies

May 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Emerald Group Publishing Limited has launched African Journal of Economic and Management Studies, its first journal dedicated to business and organizational research in Africa.  Reflecting the company’s efforts to support research and develop authorship in all regions, this new publication is now available to Emerald Management Plus subscribers, or as part of the Emerald International Business eJournal collection.

Edited by Professor John Kuada of the Department of Business Studies, Aalborg University, Denmark, and supported by an international Editorial Advisory Board, the new journal provides an avenue for disseminating empirical research results, as well as theoretical viewpoints and methodologies that aim to impact positively on economic and business activities in Africa.

Professor Kuada comments, “The journal is guided by the awareness that the better informed African politicians, policy makers and business leaders are about the forces that drive Africa’s competitive disadvantages at home as well as on the global economic scene, the more capable they will be in crafting solutions that are robust enough to give their countries a lift out of poverty.”

To celebrate the publication of the inaugural issue, Emerald will be offering free online access to the content from 1st October 2010 for 2 months.
