I've always felt that we excel when we are doing life and the work connected with that life.  Speaking personally, I've always enjoyed working with the people in recovery, providing them and myself with insights that continue to transform and bring healing on a daily basis.  Having Twelve Step as a foundation has been a great help; also we occasionally need a spiritual coach or therapy.
There are many Treatment Programs in this country, meeting a variety of needs.  I've been aware of this fact since being made Executive Director of Renaissance Malibu. The program I direct is not inexpensive and yet it provides a vital need for people who are looking for individual therapy, non-traditional programs alongside traditional medicine (acupuncture, neurofeedback and regular massages) and the freedom to use their computers and cell phones.  I suppose it loosely fits with the philosophy, different strokes for different folks.
