BP Oil Spill Volunteers Offered Discounted Online OSHA and HAZWOPER Training

May 25, 2010 - PRLog -- - May 25, 2010 - Since the BP offshore oil rig violently exploded, 5,000 barrels of oil per day continue to spill into the Gulf of Mexico. All efforts to plug the leak have been unsuccessful and the spill has quickly become one of the worst environmental catastrophes the world has ever seen.  Emergency response workers have used both controlled burning and forms of dispersal in an attempt to control the spill.  The oil rig taps over 18,000 feet into the earth’s surface.  The subsurface oil reserve below has the potential to dwarf the Exxon Valdez spill.  Cleanup volunteers will be needed for years to come to restore the gulf to a level that can sustain marine life.
