June 13, 2010 - PRLog -- With the Germans and the Australians also in group D, Serbia and Ghana will both be determined to start with a win against each other. Ghana is slightly more experienced than Serbia. FIFA 2010 in South Africa being their second finals after their 2006 debut, they are the youngest squad at the tournament.
Ghana is one of the great hopes of the African continent in the first World cup. Ghana team are considered to be the best team because they are faster, more solid and tougher in midfield Four years ago in Germany, the Serbia-Montenegro team lost all three group matches including 6-0 to Argentina. Ghana advanced to the second round in 2006. Stephen Appiah will captain the side despite playing just two club games in the last couple of years. Sunderland’s John Mensah and Fulham’s John Paintsil are both experienced defenders.
Serbia: Dejan Stankovic, Serbia midfielder also plays for Inter Milan and center back Nemanja Vidic is among the best in the world. Serbia would most probably shine in their maiden appearance as an independent nation.
