June 14, 2010 - PRLog -- DARLING HARBOUR’S HOME VENUE TURNS INTO HOLLAND HOUSE DURING FIFA WORLD CUP 2010

You thought the Brazilians were the biggest football fans & party makers during the FIFA World Cup 2010? Guess again! The Dutchies - with their orange fever - will enjoy and celebrate the matches of their Netherlands team in the most vibrant, swinging and orange carnival way!

This World Cup Home Venue at Darling Harbour will be the home base for all Dutch football fans in Sydney. Literally, because for as long as the Dutch team is in the race for the world cup title, that what once was known as Home’s Tokio Hotel is now called HOLLAND HOUSE. Starting this Monday evening 14 June @ 9.30PM when The Netherlands plays its first match against Denmark. The HOLLAND HOUSE party already starts @ 8PM and they'll rock the place!

Netherlands – Denmark --- Monday 14 June
doors open 7PM (start match @ 09.30PM)

Netherlands – Japan --- Saturday 19 June
doors open 7 PM (start match 09.30 PM).

Netherlands – Cameroon --- Friday 25 June
doors open 3.30 AM (start match 4.30 AM)

WHAT TO EXPECT?
Well, we all know, the Dutch know how to party.  Add to that the fact that the Dutch are the most enthusiastic football lovers in the world and you can expect the HOLLAND HOUSE events to be vibrant and an explosion of orange energy and.... orange carnival! With hundreds of Sydney based Dutchies supporting their team all dressed in bright orange, this is a fan group that can’t and won’t be missed. Steered up by live music, Dutch DJ’s AND the best Dutch football, they’ll be having THE biggest FIFA World Cup party in Sydney’s Darling Harbour!

HOME THE VENUE
While the rest of the football lovers of multicultural Sydney are supporting their national team outside at the FIFA Fan Fest in Darling Harbour, the Dutch will have their own steamy orange party right at the heart of the FIFA Fan Fest in the warm and cosy Home the Venue: Sydney’s largest dance club venue.
During the first two matches, HOLLAND HOUSE will be located in its Tokio Hotel and Wolf Bar and as of the third match HOLLAND HOUSE will occupy the entire Home Venue (max. 2500 guests). Surrounded by big screens, pampered with Dutch beer brand Grolsch and wearing T-shirts sponsored by ING Direct the Dutchies undoubtedly will scream their team to the finales.

DUTCHDOWN – A LIFE BRANDING COMPANY
The event company behind HOLLAND HOUSE is Dutchdown™, a Life Branding company that is specialised in organising not-for-profit events for the large and active Dutch community based in Sydney. With a database of over 20,000 Dutch loving people and with help from sponsors, Patrick Driessen – initiator and founder of Dutchdown(*) – expects the HOLLAND HOUSE to be a big success: “I’m very excited about the coming HOLLAND HOUSE events. Thanks to our sponsors we can give the visitors a unique experience that will be long remembered by the Dutch community and beyond. The first two events are entirely sold out, so I’m sure it will be a massive success. We’ve included various surprise ingredients to turn the events into an exceptional world cup experience for everyone involved!”

Driessen says that the only way to understand the orange fever is to experience it. Taking part in it also gives you the change to win some really cool prizes: from a return flight to Amsterdam, iPods and many more. Driessen stresses one last thing: “During the HOLLAND HOUSE events there is only one strict rule: no Orange, no Entrance!”
