Richard has just written a book on "Emerson and the Dream of America" and Mira is the daughter of woodworker, George Nakashima, who was named a "living national treasure" of Japan. Mira is carrying on her father's work and is author of "Nature, Form and Spirit" (Abrams, 2003). Richard Hartz, a graduate in philosophy from Yale University, will speak on Reinhold Niebuhr, author of the "Serenity Prayer" and how it compares to the "Yoga of Self-Perfection" The public is invited to attend the entire conference or commute daily, please call for prices. Student scholarships are available. Yoga, tai chi, hiking, swimming and tennis are available.
